The Harold P. Griffith Chapter of the Moline High School National Honor Society Induction took place on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bartlett Performing Arts Center at Moline High School.  It was the 77th induction for Moline High School.

Seventy-four juniors and four first year seniors were inducted during the ceremony.  Eighty-eight senior members were awarded $200 scholarships.

This is the 35th year that the former Harold P. Griffith Chapter Moline High School National Honor Society Foundation has awarded scholarships.  Harold P. Griffith began the original trust for the former Harold P. Griffith Chapter Moline High School National Honor Society Foundation, now called the Moline High School National Honor Society Harold P. Griffith Scholarship Endowment.  The Griffith family manages the endowment and annually donates the funds for the scholarships, as well as receiving donations from those in the community.

Jathin Kollarapu was selected as the recipient of the eleventh annual Harold P. Griffith Scholarship.  This award is for $1,000 and is renewable, for a total award of 4 years ($4,000 total).  Jathin Kollarapu served the NHS chapter as treasurer as well as being at officer for Student Congress and History Club.  He will be attending St. Louis University to study medicine.

During the Induction ceremony, NHS student officers will gave speeches on Character, Scholarship, Leadership and Service.  It is always an enjoyable evening.  The evening ended with a reception in the lobby of the MHS Bartlett Performing Arts Center.

Congratulations to All Students!
