Spotlight on...Moline High School Unveils Our NEW Multi-Purpose Physical Education Facility

We are proud to unveil our new multi-purpose Physical Education Facility at Moline High School!

The state-of-the-art facility offers new health and wellness opportunities for students, as well as improved safety and efficiency.

We are excited for our high school students to begin using the sports center for PE classes on Tuesday when we return to blended in-person learning.
Special thanks to our students who demonstrated activities during today’s local media preview. We look forward to a ribbon-cutting event in the spring that will be open to the community, once larger groups can be accommodated safely and within state guidelines.
Phase II, the new sports center/arena, includes four multi-purpose courts (basketball, tennis, volleyball) enclosed by a six-lane, 200-meter track, field events area, and retractable batting cages. Phase I, completed in the fall of 2020, features a large state-of-the-art weight room, wrestling room, training room, renovated locker rooms, and a new commons area for students to gather, connecting the PE facility with the cafeteria.
The new facility provides students with a centralized location to further their education for life-long health and well-being while providing increased opportunities for physical education classes in a safe and secure environment. The project benefits ALL Moline-Coal Valley district, students. The facility was designed by Shive-Hattery and build by Russell Construction.
