Financial Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA is generally completed by any high school senior or early graduate junior, who is planning to attend an institute of higher education after high school. This includes 4 year colleges/universities such as the University of Illinois or Illinois State, 2 year colleges such as Black Hawk College or Scott Community College, or a technical school like Midwest Technical Institute or Capri College.
The FAFSA opens on October 1st every year.
Moline High School will host a Financial Aid Night on September 14 at 7:00pm in the cafeteria.
Graduation Requirement
The FAFSA is now a graduation requirement for all graduating seniors in the state of Illinois. Some students will not be eligible, will not be able to fill out the FAFSA or will not be required to complete the form for their post high school plans. These students can fill out an alternative application or a non-participation form/waiver.
To meet the graduation requirement students can do one of the following:
A) Choose your completion option through Skyward under FAFSA Participation Form.
*If you choose yes to this form then you must fill complete the application online to meet the requirement.
B) Complete and submit the FAFSA online at
C) If eligible complete the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid
D) If eligible complete the FAFSA non-participation form with your counselor.
