Are you struggling with keeping up in your classes? Just need a quiet place to catch up on some work? Tutoring is available every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:05-7:45 AM and Wednesday from 2:30 - 3:30 PM in room C101. Come check it out!

Students attending today’s football game against UT MUST bring a student ID with them to show at the gate. No students will be admitted without an ID. Only students from UT or MHS will be allowed in the game. Students from high school other than UT or MHS will not be admitted. Reminder: No backpacks, fanny packs, or book bags are permitted inside Browning Field.

Juniors and seniors, don't forget to vote for homecoming king and queen by the end of the day today!

Homecoming dance tickets will go on sale on Monday! If you plan to bring a guest from another school, please stop by the bookstore to pick up a permission slip.

The Student Hunger Drive has begun! Bring some cans to tonight's football game as we try to fill a pickup truck bed with food to help end hunger in our community.

You have a voice in your government. Don't let anyone speak for you! If you will be 18 on or before November 8th you can register to vote in the Library InfoHub this week. All you need is a driver's license or other government issued ID. Exercise your right to vote.

If you had your yearbook picture taken during your PE or health class on September 13th or september 15th, please pick up your pictures during lunch in the cafeteria.

There will be a STRIVE Scholarship meeting in the BPAC multipurpose room for invited seniors on Monday, October 3rd at 9:00.

Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) - Award open to students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Deadline of January 31st. Visit the counseling website for more information.

Verna Ross Orndorff Scholarship - $1,000 award for an essay written by a high school student. The essay should focus on Abraham Lincoln or a significant event in the Civil War period in Illinois. Deadline of January 15. Visit the counseling website for info.

Come explore Europe with other MHS students. In the summer of 2023, we are traveling to France, Switzerland. and Germany. In the summer of 2024, we are touring Scotland and England. Join us for our information night on Wednesday, Oct 5th at 6:30pm in Mrs. Zobrist room E-208. Hope to see you there!
