CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Today is the last day to buy wooden roses for someone special. These will be delivered on Thursday for Valentine’s Day.  Stop by during your lunch!

COUNSELING CENTER

The Talent Link is hosting career tours for high school students in the surrounding areas. These tours include John Deere Harvester, Davenport Works, RI Arsenal, Tri City Electric, Plumbers and Pipefitters and many more. For more information on how to register, stop by the Counseling Center today.

Rock Island Arsenal Welcome Club Scholarship - $1,500 scholarship open to students who meet criteria related to parent/guardian involvement with the Rock Island Arsenal. This has a deadline of March 2nd.

Xi Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Scholarship - Open to senior female students of African-American descent. GPA of 3.0 and above is required. This has a deadline of March 13th.

Chapter B.L. PEO Scholarship - Open to female students with a 3.0 GPA and above. Submit completed applications to Ms. Stone in the Counseling Center.  This has a deadline of March 20th.

SPORTS

Attention anyone interested in trying out for baseball this spring:  There will be a brief meeting Thursday after school in the East Gym regarding information for the upcoming season.

MISC

Today for Maker Wednesday we will be running electricity through paper - shocking!  See you after school in the InfoHub. 

Tickets for the Sadie Hawkins dance are on sale in the bookstore for $10. The dance will be held from 7-10pm on Saturday, February 22nd at Wharton Fieldhouse. Please note that all guest forms need to be approved by Thursday, February 13th.

Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors:  You should have received a survey in an email with from the yearbook staff.  We hope that you will take a few minutes and answer the questions, so we can add your voices to this year's "M."  We appreciate your input.

Yesterday evening, the MHS JV Academic Team, consisting of Ben Aumuller, Zac Bitner, Akshat Gupta, Arsh Kaur, Henry Mohr, Martin Poor, and Emma Shultz competed in a conference mini-meet against UT, Galesburg, and Sterling. Congratulations to MHS on a resounding win, beating all three opponents by a wide margin!  Congratulations to all JV team members on a great season!
