COUNSELING CENTER

QC Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers is hosting “A Walk for Education” on February 22nd.  The goal of the event is to provide information to the community on tools, resources, and processes for continuing their education. For more information and to sign up please see your Counselor.

Moline Rotary Foundation Scholarship - Up to five $1,000 scholarships open to graduating high school seniors planning to continue their education. Awards will be given based on active involvement in service-oriented activities, leadership and academic achievement. GPA of 3.0 and above is required. Active membership in Moline High School's Interact Club is preferred. Applications should be submitted to Ms. Stone in the Counseling Center. This has a deadline of March 13th. Black Hawk College will be offering a 2020-2021 FAFSA Completion Night on Wednesday, February 26th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the QC Campus. Visit the Counseling Center for more information.

SPORTS

Attention all Bass Fishing team members and those students in joining the bass fishing team.  We will begin our indoor casting practices Tuesday after school at 3:15 in the cafeteria. Contact coach Albrecht if you have questions.

Congratulations to our seven place winners over the weekend at the Western Big Six Conference Tournament.  Champions 106 Charlie Farmer, 113 Noah Tapia, 132 Kole Brower, 285 Cobie Underwood, 2nd place 182 DeAnthony Parker, 3rd place 120 Alec Schmacht and 195 Trystan Duyvejonck.  Congratulations to all! 

There are currently flyers in the Athletic Office for those interested in signing up for Moline Little League Baseball.  Walk in registration will continue on Saturday, February 8th at the Moline Public Library from 10am-2pm.

The Write Now! writers’ group for teens and adults will be held at the Moline Public Library at 6:00 tonight. Bring up to six pages of a piece you’re working on for feedback and advice.
