Want to make $150 bucks and get a day off school?  The Rock Island County Clerk's office is looking for high school students interested in working as an Election Judge for the spring Primary Election on March 17th and the General Election next November 3rd.  Applications for this position are available on the school website, in the counseling center, and from your social studies teacher.  If you are selected, you will be paid per diem and your absence will count as a field trip only.  Applications and sign-ups are due to the counseling center no later than 3:30 on Wednesday, January 29th.

NHS members reminder: MHS National Honor Society Harold P. Griffith Scholar Award – $1,000 scholarship open to MHS National Honor Society senior members. The scholarship is renewable for 4 years. Applications must be returned to Mrs. Welvaert or Mr. Lindstrom. This has a deadline of January 31st. Applications are available on the Counseling website.

Township Officials of Illinois Scholarship Fund - Open to students with a 3.0+ planning to attend a college/university in Illinois. Applicants must submit an essay on the role of township government in today's society and in the future. This has a deadline of March 1st.

State Scholarship for the Illinois Federation of Business Women's Clubs - Six $2,000 scholarships available to female seniors with a GPA of 3.0+. Applicants should plan to attend an accredited trade school, college or university full-time in the fall of 2020. Recipients must be willing to participate in a public speaking competition. This has a deadline of March 1st.



The Drama Club is sponsoring a field trip to see Kinky Boots at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse on Feb.11. If you'd like to attend, pick up a permission slip on the Theatre Callboard across from the library and submit by today.  See Mrs. Koski in J210 or Ms. Callahan in the choir room if you have questions.

Seniors: Please check your name on the diploma list across from the Registrar’s Office. This is how it will appear on your diploma. Make all corrections with Mrs. Valdes. Corrections made after today will cost $5.00.

Join the Moline Public Library’s Knit & Crochet Circle at 5:30 tonight. Knit or crochet blanket squares to donate to Project Linus. No experience necessary.
