If you're interested in getting involved in the spring musical, come to Drama Club today after school. This year's musical is All Shook Up, a comedy filled with Elvis music, and we need singers, dancers, actors, technicians, directors, and crew members to help. Drama Club is today after school in the Multipurpose Room of the Bartlett, 3:15-4. If you have questions, see Mrs. Koski, Ms. Callahan, or Mr. Morton.

Robotics will meet after school today & Thursday in room D125.

Attention Line O’Type staff: We will be having a planning meeting for our next issue today after school in B206, Mrs. Norcross’s room.  Please see Mrs. Norcross if you are unable to attend the meeting.


Do you need to take the Accuplacer Test?  If you’re interested in taking an Honors English class next year (and not currently in an Honors Eng. Class) or if you’ve already taken 2 Dual Credit classes and are signing up for more next year (and have not taken it yet). The Accuplacer Test will be offered at MHS the next three Wednesdays in January. Reserve your spot for the Accuplacer Test today in the Counseling Center.

Attention all freshmen: We know getting ready for finals is new for you! Let your Link Leaders help you out. Come to the library today after school for some Cocoa, Cookies and Cram time. We'd love to serve you a snack and show you some great ways to study for your finals. Cocoa, Cookies & Cram will run from 3:00-5:00 in the library. 

Are you planning on taking a dual credit class next year? Plan to be in the cafeteria tonight from 6-6:30 for Dual Credit Night. You will hear about dual credit expectations and will be able to get yourself registered that evening. It is very important that you plan on attending with a parent.

Beta Sigma Psi National Lutheran Fraternity Scholarships - Open to students attending Purdue, Indiana, Illinois or another 4-year college. Applicants must be male members of a Lutheran Congregation. This has a deadline of February 15th.

Moline Foundation Scholarships are due by February 15th. This is a reminder to seniors to get all of your application materials submitted.


Are you a Certified Lifeguard?  The Physical Education department needs Certified Lifeguards for the swimming units.  See any P.E. teacher if interested.

Intramural Basketball games being played this Wednesday will be located in the East Gym starting at 8:00 pm.

Softball open gym will be at Coolidge this Saturday from 8-10 a.m., with pitchers and catchers throwing at 7:15 am.


Sadies Dance - Sadies dance applications for students that do not attend MHS are available in the bookstore now.  Turn them into Detective Kluever early and be pre-approved when tickets go on sale.   NEW MHS DANCE POLICY: This year the forms are due on Thursday, February 13th (One week before the dance) – No late forms will be accepted!

The final deadline to purchase the 2020 "M" at the current price of $47.00 is Friday, January 17th.  If you are unsure if you have purchased a book, please check on Skyward under Fee Management or you can check the list outside of the bookstore.  The "M" can be purchased by check or cash at the bookstore. Remember no yearbooks will be sold at the end of the year.

2020 My Favorite Teacher Contest:  Each year WQAD News 8 offers this contest to all current students and active teachers within the WQAD News 8 viewing area. Entry forms are available in the main office.  Five teachers will be chosen and featured on Good Morning Quad Cities during the week of March 9-13th.  Deadline for entries is January 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
