CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

MHS Book Ends will meet today after school in the library.

Chess Club:  Come to room J207 for a 5 minute mandatory meeting after school today.  

Attention Line O 'Type staff:  We will have a mandatory planning meeting after school today in B206, Mrs. Norcross's room.  Editors will determine stories and assign them on the spot to reporters.  Please see Mrs. Norcross if you're unable to attend.

Please join the Future Teachers Club at Logan Elementary school on Thursday, November 29th between 3:15 and 3:30.  We will be making a Christmas bulletin board for their winter program, so bring your creativity and your energy and we will bring the snacks!  Hope to see you there!

COUNSELING CENTER

Western Illinois is offering a free Dual Enrollment Dual Credit class in Animal Science second semester.  Seniors who are interested should see their counselors right away.

Donut Eating Teams--Your pledge sheets and posters are due in the Counseling Center today by 3:00.

All MHS Staff and Students--Come and witness the crowning of the 2018 Donut King and Queen at the annual Share Joys Donut Eating Contest at 7:00 a.m. in the East Gym on Wednesday, November 28th.  Find out which teams will receive the Top Banana and Big Donut awards in this fun kickoff to Share Joys!

Moline Foundation Scholarships are available on the Moline Foundation's website. Students can also be linked through the MHS Counseling website. All scholarships have a deadline of March 15th:

Stan Woods Scholarship Fund has a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship based on community involvement and leadership, academic achievement and essay.

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Scholarship is three $1,000 scholarships

Applicant must follow the ideals of the former Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program, which sought to prevent use of drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior.

Hazel Van Arsdale Memorial Scholarship Fund is a $1,000 scholarship.  Applicants must be involved in at least one service oriented or musical activity.

The Moline Public Schools Foundation is partnering with Culver’s for a “Giving Tuesday” event being held tonight at Culver’s between the hours of 5-8 P.M.  Moline Public Schools Foundation will receive a percentage of all sales between the hours of 5-8 P.M.  So come hungry and support the Moline-Coal Valley Public Schools!

Attention Seniors:  If you did not get your senior picture taken at Photographic Arts, you will have one more chance to get it taken.  Photographic Arts will be here today until 12:30pm in the small West Gym.
