The Girls Soccer team will play Quincy for the Western Big Six Title at the Moline Soccer Bowl today.  JV starts at 4:30 and the Varsity starts at 6:00 P.M. Come and support the Moline Girls Soccer Team for the Conference title.

There will be a basketball open gym next week for any and all girls. It will be Monday and Wednesday 3:25-4:25 in the East Gym.

The theme for Tuesday’s Senior ABC Countdown is V-neck day

Hamilton elementary school will be hosting an open house on Tuesday, May 20th from 3:30 to 5:30 P.M. for all former staff, students, and friends of Hamilton.  Cookies and punch will be provided.

Come support the Moline Girls’ varsity soccer team tonight as they take on Washington for senior night.  Be there at 6:00 P.M. in the Moline Soccer Bowl.

All Academic Team members should turn in their picnic forms to Coach Anderson or Coach Pitz today.   The forms help us to plan for the picnic this evening at Riverside Park.

MHS will be offering a summer school consumer education course this year.  Any sophomores or juniors interested in taking Consumer Ed over the summer instead of during the school year should bring cash or check for $125 to the bookstore as soon as possible.  See your counselor if you have any questions.

Seniors:  Do you know where you are going to college in the fall?  Have you asked Mrs. Hastings to send your final transcript there?  Make sure you do so before the end of the year.  Mom and Dad can’t do this for you, it is a privacy law.

Attention all Freshmen and Sophomores!

This Wednesday you will be taking a standardized test in the morning.  All 9th and 10th grade students need to arrive at school by 8:10 a.m., regardless of their normal start time.  Please make arrangements to arrive on time for testing.  You will be testing with your CCR teacher.  Please be sure to check the signs above the drinking fountains to determine your testing classroom.  All freshmen will be testing on second floor and sophomores will be testing on third floor.  Please be sure to bring two pencils and a calculator.  There will be a limited number of calculators available for use on the day of the test.  School will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m.

Attention all Juniors and Seniors!

This Wednesday you will be attending an Operation Prom presentation in the auditorium. It is essential that all 11th and 12th grade students do not arrive at school before 8:30 a.m. on that day, as testing will be going on in the building for underclassmen.  Juniors and seniors may only enter the building through the doors by the auditorium or by the student parking lot, and should report directly to the AUD.  There will be no other access to the building on that morning for juniors and seniors.

The Donald Schick Memorial Scholarship has been extended with a due date of May 9.  Applicants must be a senior and have played football for MHS.  Download applications from the counseling website.

The Moline High School Drama Club Boosters is now offering three $300 scholarships.  Applicants should be pursuing a degree in the theatre arts OR have participated in a theatre production at Moline High School.  This scholarship has a due date of May 12 and applications may be downloaded from the counseling website.

The Brilliant Companions, a BBC Sci-Fi fan club, will meet on Monday, May 5 at 6:30 at the Moline Public Library. We will be discussing the second half of Doctor Who, season seven. This club is open to all ages.
