The first Drama Club meeting of the year will be Tuesday, August 25th right after school (3:10-3:30) in Room E204. Drama Club is open to all students.  Join us to learn about upcoming auditions, theater opportunities, and field trips, including the Illinois High School Theater Festival. If you're serious about having fun, this is the club for you! See you there!  (If you can't make it this week, never fear, you may always join us later when your schedule clears up. We meet every Tuesday.)

Freshman Chromebook users:  If you need help with your Chromebooks or other technology issues, please stop by your friendly MHS help desk located near the Library in room B224.  Skilled MHS students are there to assist with hardware and software technical issues and to answer questions regarding use of your new devices for all students and staff.  For additional information, visit the help desk web page at:  www.mhshelp.us and follow us on twitter @mhshelpus for updates.

The Library Media Center, in conjunction with school and public libraries in East Moline, Moline, and Rock Island will be hosting an Author Expo September 15th-19th.  Here at MHS, we will feature Simone Elkeles live and in person on Thursday the 17th during first lunch.  We will have virtual visits with Amy Kathleen Ryan on Tuesday at the beginning of our first book club, Geoff Herbach on Wednesday, and RJ Anderson on Friday.  Visit the display in the Library Media Center to learn more about the authors, and see the entire schedule of events!  Our first book club selection will be anything by one of these authors, and are available now in the Library Media Center.

Attention Students!  Everyone is welcome to attend Open Pool Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:00-7:00 A.M.  Any questions see Coach Hrycyk in room B155.

Metro Link transportation on Thursday and Friday:  You must catch the bus on the Avenue of the Cities or on 41st Street at the noon release. There will be no bus at the tennis courts.

The custodians will begin cleaning lockers out on Thursday evening. Please remove all of your personal belongings and return all books.

The lost and found bins in the Main Office are overflowing with items.  If these items are not claimed by the last day of school, they will be bagged up and taken to Goodwill.

All students who currently have an elevator key, you need to return it before the close of school Friday. All students who have medications in the clinic, remind your parents they need to be picked up.

To any and all girls interested in Moline girls’ basketball, please attend a brief meeting today in the Driver’s Education room B152 at 3:15 P.M.  If you can’t make it, please see Coach Ford.

Any girl interested in trying out for the 2015-2016 MHS Contemporaires, must pick up a tryout form from the athletic office. Tryouts will be held on Friday, June 5. Clinic dates are June 2 and June 3.  Please contact Mrs. Lawrence (B301) if you have any questions.

Any students 16 years old and above are eligible to volunteer at the Moline Public Library over the summer.  If you are interested in gaining some valuable experience and volunteer hours, please see Mrs. Ryser in the Counseling Center.

Reminder to seniors: If you know what college you will be attending in the fall, stop by the registrar's office and sign for your final transcript, before the end of the school year.  All colleges require a final transcript, so failure to do this will cause unnecessary problems for you in the fall. Final transcripts can't be sent without your permission, so please see Mrs. Valdes in the Registrar's Office.
