Congratulations to all of the donut eating teams who raised $15, 511.00 for Share Joys.  Our Top Banana award for raising the most money goes to the team of Brody Lyall.  The second place Big Donut award for the most money raised goes to the team of Stephanie Theofilis.  Our 2014 Donut King is Luke Giovanine, and this year's Donut Queen is Haley Cook. The Little Rascals team won for best costume. Congratulations to all who participated and thanks to Donut Delite for sponsoring the event!

Staff and students:  Buy your Share Joys tickets at the book store today! Monday, Share Joys elves will be selling baked goods and raffle tickets. Staff raffle prizes include a 46" Samsung Smart T.V., a Sony Blue Ray player and over 40 other great prizes.  Students can win a 28" Samsung Smart T.V., an ihome wireless bluetooth speaker system, and over 40 prizes, too!  You need Share Joys tickets to buy goodies and raffle tickets from the elves. Don't stand in line next week.

Between now and December 12th you will receive a Share Joys ticket for each 50 cents you pay in library fines.  This is a great opportunity to sweeten other's lives, and clear out your fines in the library at the same time.

There are several items in our Lost and Found located in the main office.  If you have lost something, please come in the office before or after school to claim your lost items.

Drama Club is cancelled for today.

There will be an Authentic Voices meeting today during 3rd & 5th hour in B324.  Choose the period that works best for you.  All girls are welcome!

There will be a Kaleidoscript meeting today in B215 @ 3:15. All members please attend. Anyone interested in working on the publication is invited to join us. We will be scheduling our training day soon.

Latinos Unidos:  We will be meeting today in J322 to vote on t-shirt designs.  Bring a friend.

Fiber Arts Club will knit, sew, crochet and silkscreen today after school in E111 until 4:30.  Everyone is welcome.

COUNSELING CENTER

Trinity Medical Center’s Rock Island campus has some new volunteering opportunities for high school juniors and seniors interested in a career in healthcare. If you are a self-starter (a real “people person” who can see what needs to be done and follow through) you may enjoy this opportunity to serve others while getting experience in a healthcare setting. For those with busy schedules, there are openings available in the late afternoons/early evenings and on weekends. Those who become committed Trinity volunteers are also eligible to apply for college scholarships from the Friends of Trinity organization. If you would like to make a commitment to volunteering, or just get more information, please call (309) 779-2211 in person (do not have your parents call) and request an application packet.

Congratulations to the Varsity Academic Team for their 3rd place finish at the Macomb kickoff on Saturday.  Will Fisher, Connor Bivens, David Fudge, Divya Badri, Adrian McDevitt, and Ila Mostafa all contributed to the success.  Will and Divya were also among the top ten individual scorers!

Students:  Share Joy tickets will be on sale in the bookstore beginning Monday, Nov. 24th and Tuesday, Nov. 25th for .50 cents each.  You may purchase them before school, after school or during your lunch.  Avoid standing in long lines by buying your tickets early!

Donut Eating Teams:  Your posters are due on Monday, Nov. 24th to the Counseling Center.  Show your team spirit!

RAK will meet in Ms. Ciucci's room, J323, on Monday after school.  We have good news to share about our fundraiser, good feedback to share about or kind post-its, and lots of cool activities to plan!  All are welcome to attend Random Acts of Kindness!

You do not have to be an artist to paint a window at the Moline High School Library Media Center!  Come in before Thanksgiving to select a window.  Window artists can begin painting on December 1st to be completed by December 10th.  Voting will be done by Share Joys ticket.  If you don't paint a window, vote for one, or all!

Attention Yearbook Staff:  We will have a meeting today after school in B201.  We are finally able to begin our pages, so don't miss out!

NHS members:  There will be a brief elf meeting today in B131 at 3:00 sharp.

There will be a Crimestoppers meeting today in Mrs. Mahieu’s classroom at 3:10 P.M.

The sign up for stage crew for the winter play, “Figments” is now available on the Drama Board.  There are very few spots available, so please, serious applicants only.

If you’re looking for something to do after school, stop by the Moline Public Library on Wednesdays between 2:30 and 4:30 for TEEN-ucopia, a variety of video games, board games, and crafts. No sign-up is needed, just drop in and have some fun!

Students who are interested in Fiber Arts; fashion, knitting and sewing will meet in room E111 today from 3:20 to 4:20 P.M.  Google “Fiber Arts” to find out the myriad of projects and mediums that await you.

Fans of anime, manga, and all things Japanese are invited to the Anime Club at the Moline Public Library today at 3:30 P.M.  Watch anime, discuss manga, eat snacks, and connect with fellow fans.  This club is free and no registration is needed.
