There will be a mandatory Interact meeting after school today for all members in B131. We will finalize all service projects for the remainder of the school year.
Congratulations to the Varsity Academic Team for placing third at the Masonic Sectional held here last Saturday. Team members were Pranav Puri, Eric Sheidler, Biniam Anberber, Will Fisher, Connor Malcolm-Bivens, and Karen Sancen.
The team's next tournament is the IHSA regional, to be held here on the Monday evening of March 10th.
Juniors and seniors applying for NHS, your applications are due to Mrs. Ryser in the Counseling Center by 3:00 on Thursday, Feb. 20th.

There will be two opportunities for families to complete their FAFSAs. WIU QC is holding a FAFSA event on February 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Room 116. Black Hawk College will be holding a FAFSA night on Monday, February 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Adult Education Outreach Center at 4610 Black Hawk Commons Drive Rock Island.
Black Hawk College is holding an FYI Night on Feb. 25th and March 6th at 6:00 p.m. If you want to go to college, but are not sure where to start, this event is for you. You will get answers to all of your questions about exploring career options, paying for college, registering for classes and goal setting. Food will be served.
The Illinois Children's Mental Health Partnership is having a poster contest. First place will receive a $250.00 gift card. The deadline for entries is March 31st.
Attention all Bass Team members. The Bass Team yearbook picture will be taken immediately after school this Thursday in the cafeteria at 3:05 pm. Remember, you must have on a 2014 maroon bass shirt to be in the picture. 2014 Bass shirts are now for sale in the bookstore. See Coach Albrecht in B322 with questions.
Attention seniors: A list of those earning Science Departmental Honors has been posted in the hall outside rooms E102 and E301. Please check the list and report any errors to Mrs. Fitzpatrick.
