CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
French Club will meet today at 3:10 in Ms. Ciucci's room, J323. We will order French Club t-shirts and discuss the Homecoming Parade. All MHS students are invited to join French Club.
The entire Academic Team will have an introductory meeting today after school in E102. Anyone interested in joining or just finding out more about the Academic Team is also encouraged to attend.
Kaleidoscript will meet today in B215 to work on setup for the Activities Fair on Wednesday. Plan to stop in and help!
Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting tomorrow morning in room E114 at 7:30. All students are welcome to join us.
Drama Club and Encore will be meeting tomorrow right after school in room E204.
Attention Line O 'Type editors: If you are planning to attend the journalism conference in Iowa City, please sign up and get your money turned in to Mrs. Norcross in B206 no later than Wednesday, September 14th. See Mrs. Norcross if you have further questions.
The first Spanish Club meeting will be Thursday, September 15th after school in room J328. All are welcome.
Latinos Unidos we will have our 1st meeting of the year this Thursday in J322. You will be able to sign up for the Homecoming parade and receive information about a leadership conference. All are welcome and please see Mr. Castro if you can't attend. ¡Adiós!
St. Ambrose is holding a Physical Therapy Open House this Saturday, Sept. 17th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are interested, please come to the counseling center for more information.
Black Hawk College is having a Unity event on Tuesday, Sept. 13th 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 14th from Noon to 6 p.m. This is an interactive public art project celebrating our community's uniqueness and strengths that tie us all together. Please come to the counseling center for more information.
Moline High School's Financial Aid Night is this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. There will be a brief presentation about the financial aid process and the new FAFSA deadline. Representatives from a local college will be on hand to answer financial aid questions. There will be a drawing for a $200.00 scholarship from those seniors attending.
There are only four spots left on the MHS trip to Japan in June 2017. Do not delay, if you have interest in joining us, please see Mrs. Mesick or Ms. Ciucci for more information today.
Homecoming tickets are on sale in the bookstore for $10.00 through Wednesday, September 21 and an ID is needed for each ticket purchased. Guest applications for Non-Moline students are also available on the bookstore counter and due by Wednesday, September 21.
ComedySportz tickets are on sale at the bookstore for $3. The performance will be in the Auditorium on Friday, September 23 during 5-7th periods. Please remember to have your teachers sign your tickets for attendance purposes.
The Moline Rotary Club Youth Exchange Program is offering the opportunity for a Moline High School student to be selected to receive a scholarship to attend high school in another country during the 2017-18 school year, and to participate in a summer cultural exchange with a student in another country during summer 2017. This is an extraordinary opportunity to enhance your education.

The Moline Public Library’s Anime Club will meet after school today at 3:30. Bring your anime and manga for the exchange. And head over to the library tomorrow after the early out for a variety of video games, board games, and computer games from 11:30 to 1:00.
