CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Students:  Share Joy tickets will be on sale in the bookstore beginning Monday, Nov. 24th and Tuesday, Nov. 25th for .50 cents each.  You may purchase them before school, after school or during your lunch.  Avoid standing in long lines by buying your tickets early!

Donut Eating Teams:  Your posters are due on Monday, Nov. 24th to the Counseling Center.  Show your team spirit!

RAK will meet in Ms. Ciucci's room, J323, on Monday after school.  We have good news to share about our fundraiser, good feedback to share about or kind post-its, and lots of cool activities to plan!  All are welcome to attend Random Acts of Kindness!

COUNSELING CENTER

Four different scholarships are now being offered through the Beta Sigma Psi fraternity.  Each scholarship has a due date of February 15 and all may be downloaded from the counseling website.

SPORTS

MISC

A reminder: No hats, coats and backpacks should be worn in the building.

You do not have to be an artist to paint a window at the Moline High School Library Media Center!  Come in before Thanksgiving to select a window.  Window artists can begin painting on December 1st to be completed by December 10th.  Voting will be done by Share Joys ticket.  If you don't paint a window, vote for one, or all!

All HOSA members:  We will have a meeting today at 3:10 P.M. in J138.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Mahieu.

There will be an Interact Club / Hunger Drive meeting today in E-301 @ 3:10.  Anyone interested in making the school, community, and world a better place, is welcome to come and get information on this club.

There will be a French Club meeting today after school in J329.  Please come!

COUNSELING CENTER

Attention Yearbook Staff:  We will have a meeting today after school in B201.  We are finally able to begin our pages, so don't miss out!

NHS members:  There will be a brief elf meeting today in B131 at 3:00 sharp.

There will be a Crimestoppers meeting today in Mrs. Mahieu’s classroom at 3:10 P.M.

The sign up for stage crew for the winter play, “Figments” is now available on the Drama Board.  There are very few spots available, so please, serious applicants only.

If you’re looking for something to do after school, stop by the Moline Public Library on Wednesdays between 2:30 and 4:30 for TEEN-ucopia, a variety of video games, board games, and crafts. No sign-up is needed, just drop in and have some fun!

MHS Book Club will be meeting today in the library during your lunch.  See you then!

There will be an Authentic Voices meeting during Period 3 today in B324 for all members not going on the field trip.  All members going on the field trip to MTI should meet at the “M” directly after 5th period today!  We will walk out the door at 1:15 P.M.

Students who are interested in Fiber Arts; fashion, knitting and sewing will meet in room E111 today from 3:20 to 4:20 P.M.  Google “Fiber Arts” to find out the myriad of projects and mediums that await you.

Fans of anime, manga, and all things Japanese are invited to the Anime Club at the Moline Public Library today at 3:30 P.M.  Watch anime, discuss manga, eat snacks, and connect with fellow fans.  This club is free and no registration is needed.

Moline is hosting a Scholastic Bowl tournament this Saturday!  All Academic Team members are expected to help set up today after school, meeting in E204 at 3:10.  Team members should also plan to participate in or help host the tournament Saturday from 8-4.  We could still use some help scoring if anyone else wants to lend a hand!

There will be a BRIEF Interact Club/Hunger Drive meeting in room E-301 TODAY after school.

Seniors who are going on the field trip to Western Illinois University QC next Friday, your permission slips are due today in the Counseling Center.

Attention all students’ grades 9--12:  We have 25 Donut Eating teams and we need 5 more teams. Please see Mrs. Ryser in the Counseling Center today if you can help.

Today will be the last day to join the wrestling team.  If you are interested, show up to the wrestling room after school.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of the MHS boys swimming team, please come to a pre-season meet and greet with the head swimming coach today at 3:30 P.M. at the MHS Pool balcony.

Attention acts trying out for the Share Joys talent show.  Please arrive at the auditorium 15 minutes prior to scheduled tryout time.  Please bring all material you will use for the show for the tryout.  Good luck!

Due to missing the deadline, Intramural basketball will start next week.  Any teams that want to join need to have their money and forms in by Friday at 3:00 P.M. to the Bookstore.

The Moline Library’s Teen Advisory Group will meet this afternoon at 3:30 at the Public Library. This is a chance for you to make your opinions heard, earn service credit, and make new friends.

Boys Basketball tryouts will be held Monday at the following locations:  Freshmen at Coolidge at 3:30, Sophomore at West Gym at 3:15, and Varsity at Wharton at 5:30.
