Any student interested in the Chess Team should attend the first practice today in room J207 immediately after school.  See Mr. Dan Thompson in J207 if you cannot attend or if you have questions about the chess team.

Natural Helpers will meet in room B131 today during lunch.

Attention Line O'Type reporters: If you were assigned a story for this month's upcoming issue, this is a reminder that all stories should be shared with your editors by tomorrow at 5:00 PM.  See Mrs. Norcross in room B206 if you have any questions.

Anyone interested in pursuing a career in the health and/or medical field: This is a great opportunity to learn the many careers the medical field has to offer.  Stop by B-318 on Tuesday at 3:05. If you have any questions, see Mr. Mahieu.  The meeting will last about 30 to 45 minutes.

Please join fellow students for See You at the Pole on Wednesday, September 28th at 7:30 AM.

We will be meeting at the flagpole outside the Dean’s office as we participate in the Global Week of Student Prayer.

Students who would like to have input on the food choices in the cafeteria, please stop by the Main Office to sign up to become a member of the MHS food service committee. We meet 5 times a year after school. You will be asked to sample products and provide feedback.

Imagine spending a year of high school, or a month of summer, in France, Italy, Brazil, or any of 50 countries worldwide!

Freshmen, sophomores and juniors interested in the opportunity to affordably study abroad for one school year, or to participate in summer cultural exchanges in another country, are invited to attend an informational presentation for students and parents on September 28th at 6:00pm in Room B131.

The Moline Rotary Club Youth Exchange Program is offering the opportunity for a Moline High School student to be selected to receive a scholarship to attend high school in another country during the 2017-18 school year, and to participate in a summer cultural exchange with a student in another country during summer 2017.  This is an extraordinary opportunity to enhance your education, expand your horizons, and broaden your experience.

All MHS students who are interested in a career in journalism, the Quad City Times is also starting an Exploring Program soon.  This would be a great opportunity to experience many career opportunities in this exciting field.  Please come to the Counseling center for more information.

Musicians of all talent levels are invited to the Moline Public Library at 6:00 tonight for a Celtic music jam. Bring your instrument and join in, or stop by to listen.

There will be no charging cart in the cafeteria today. Students may use the charging cart located in the library.

There will be a brief presentation about the financial aid process and the new FAFSA deadline.  Representatives from a local college will be on hand to answer financial aid questions.  There will be a drawing for a $200.00 scholarship from those seniors attending.

Drama Club and Encore will be meeting today right after school in room E204.

Art Club is looking for young artists and art lovers of all levels.  Meetings are held every Tuesday after school in room E111.  We hope to help all students pursue and find success in their artistic adventures.

The Young Women United will have its first meeting tomorrow morning at 7:40 in the library.  The club is open to any student interested in improving the community through fundraising, volunteering, and self- improvement workshops.

Black Hawk College is having a Unity event today from Noon to 6 p.m.  This is an interactive public art project celebrating our community's uniqueness and strengths that tie us all together.  Please come to the counseling center for more information.

French Club will meet today at 3:10 in Ms. Ciucci's room, J323.  We will order French Club t-shirts and discuss the Homecoming Parade.  All MHS students are invited to join French Club.

The entire Academic Team will have an introductory meeting today after school in E102. Anyone interested in joining or just finding out more about the Academic Team is also encouraged to attend.

Kaleidoscript will meet today in B215 to work on setup for the Activities Fair on Wednesday. Plan to stop in and help!
