There will be a Kaleidoscript meeting for all members Tuesday, September 2nd in B215 @ 3:15. Please plan to attend and bring a friend! See Mrs. MacLennan or Ms. Hays for details.

Have you ever wanted to be a grasshopper? Then you should audition for the fall play "James and the Giant Peach." Stop by room B214 to sign up for an audition appointment and pick up your audition packet. Don't delay; appointment slots fill up fast.

The theme for homecoming this year is "An American Homecoming."  Please submit a t-shirt design in jpeg format to clarson@molineschools.org by Friday, Sept. 5th.  The winning designer will receive prizes including a debit card, free homecoming ticket, and free t-shirt.

You need your student ID for breakfast, lunch, to enter the library and attend MHS events. All students must present their ID to enter these areas by Tuesday, Sept. 2nd. New ID's can be purchased at the bookstore for $5.00.

National Honor Society Members--The annual business meeting to elect officers, sign up for committees, and get general information is tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  The deadline to sign up to be a committee chair or nominate members for office is today at 3:00 p.m. in the Counseling Center.  We will vote on officers at the meeting.

The FIRST Kaleidoscript meeting for the year will be this coming TUESDAY, August 26th in room B215 at 3:15. Kaleidoscript is MHS' creative arts magazine. Everyone is invited to join. Officers will be selected, so please be prompt. See Mrs. MacLennan or Ms. Hays for more information.

The first Drama Club meeting of the year will be Tuesday, Aug. 26th right after school in Room E204.  Everyone is welcome.  It’s air-conditioned!

COUNSELING CENTER

Deere & Company will be sponsoring an evening program series for high school students to explore the careers in the legal profession.  If you are a strong student who is seeking to major in pre-law in college and are interested in being contacted by Deere & Company Law Department for the Explorers program, please sign up in the counseling center by Monday, August 25.

There is a new breakfast menu at MHS. Every day breakfast pizza, breakfast sandwiches, cereal, yogurt, fruit bars and pop tarts will be served. New breakfast hours are 7:30 - 8:30 am. Start your day off with a great breakfast!

The MHS dress code policy states: no hats, bandannas and sunglasses and strapless shirts may be worn in the building. Undergarments should not be visible and shorts should be an appropriate length and worn at the waist.

Any girl interested in trying out for the MHS Contemporaires should pick up a permission slip from the Athletic Office. Tryouts will be held on June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Wharton Field House.
