CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
Congratulations to the members of the Academic Team for their performance last week in the Knowledge Master Open. Their score placed them 10th in Illinois and in the top one-third of teams across the country who took the 200 question test on computer. This weekend the Fresh-Soph team competes in Macomb while the Varsity travels to Kaneland.
Authentic Voices meets today (this period, or period 3) in E204.
There will be a holiday party for Spanish and French Club members tomorrow in J328 and J329. Come and enjoy the food, fun, games, and prizes. Let either Mrs. Larson or Mrs. Johnson know if you plan to attend.
SPORTS
Football players are reminded of the after school weight/fitness training program starting after Christmas break. See Coach Dillie or Coach Frakes to sign up for a spot.
Any freshman who plans on trying out for baseball needs to stop by room J206 and see Coach Dillie for information regarding workouts and tryouts.
MISC
Wear a hat on Friday to support MHS's Invisible Children Frontline Team. Buy a sticker from the bookstore before or after school on either Thursday or Friday for $1. You must be wearing a sticker to wear a hat, and the hat must not obstruct other students' view.
Attention all animal lovers: If you miss the animals at Niabi Zoo during the off season and love holiday decorations and lights, this event is for you. This week Niabi Zoo is hosting a new event called Zoo Lites from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. nightly today through Friday, December 16th. Go visit the zoo and enjoy the holiday décor.
