CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
Did you see it? The Invisible Children's film "Tony"? That movie about a boy who had to hide each night to avoid getting kidnapped and forced to become a child soldier? MHS's Invisible Children Frontline team will show another video "The Rescue" on Nov. 2 at 6:30 in the aud. Bring your family and friends to become aware of the ongoing conflict in Africa that's affecting thousands of children each year.
COUNSELING CENTER
The Iowa/Illinois Regional Auto Show Scholarship is now available to senior students. To view the criteria and to download an application, visit the Counseling Website. This scholarship has a deadline of January 4, 2012.
Attention National Honor Society members: There is a mandatory Share Joys kick off meeting next Wednesday, November 2nd in the choir room at 7:00 p.m.
There will be an Aviation Career Conference hosted by Lewis University in Romeoville on Saturday, November 5th. See Mrs. Ryser if you are interested.
Attention students interested in engineering career fields: Deere and Company is offering a program for you to get "hands on" experiences and meet with top John Deere Engineers. If you are interested in attending the Nov. 14th informational meeting, please pick up an invitation with details from Mr. Carlough in D wing or from Mrs. Ryser in the Counseling Center.
SPORTS
Wrestling open gyms will take place immediately after school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of next week. On Tuesday there will be a pre-season meeting immediately after school before the open gym. Important information on the upcoming season will be handed out. This meeting is mandatory for anyone, including managers, who want to be on the team.
MISC
All seniors need to be photographed for the yearbook. Lifetouch/Prestige Portraits will be set up in the auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 3rd from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for SENIOR students only. This is an opportunity for seniors who have NOT YET been photographed (at the studio) to get their photo in the yearbook. There is NO cost to you for this photo to be in the yearbook. If you would like to order a package from Lifetouch for a fee, you may do so. But again, there is no fee to be photographed for the yearbook. Thursday is your last chance, and all seniors must be photographed.
Sign-ups for audition appointments for the Winter Play, Harvey, are now available in Room B214. Stop in ASAP, sign up for an appointment, and receive your audition materials. Hurry! The best time slots go first!
