Authentic Voices needs more junior and senior members to apply for the board of Officers. See Mrs. Olson in the Counseling Office for an application.
This week's Key Club meeting has been moved from today to tomorrow, September 2nd. Meet after school in the cafeteria. All former members and anyone interested in joining Key Club are encouraged to attend! We have lots of fun events planned for you this school year. Come out and see how you can have so much fun helping our community! See you there!
Spanish Club will have its first meeting after school on Tuesday, September 6th in J328. All Spanish students are encouraged to join this fun social club!
Just a reminder that book club is September 20th during your lunch period in room E204. We will discuss The Hunger Games over pizza. We have several copies available now, so if you have not read it yet, please come to the Library Media Center at your earliest opportunity to pick one up.
COUNSELING CENTER
On Saturday, October 15, Moline High School’s high ranking juniors are eligible to take the PSAT-NMSQT exam. This exam is designed to give juniors practice with standardized testing in the format of the SAT, and it is the ONLY OPPORTUNITY juniors have to qualify for National Merit Scholar status. Any juniors interested should see Mrs. Sanders in the Counseling Center between Sept. 7th and 15th. Slots are filled on a first-come, first served basis and will be held with the $20 testing fee. Space is limited, so sign up and pay as soon as possible. No late registration will be accepted.
The following scholarships are now available to Moline High School Seniors. To access the description and application, please visit the Moline High School Counseling Website. The scholarships are as follows:
1. Quest Bridge National College Match Scholarship Program
2. Gates Millenium Scholars Program
3. Brown Mackie College President's Program
4. The Acorn Equality Fund Scholarship

Do you need a lanyard for your student ID? Lanyards will be for sale in the cafeteria today. Black or maroon lanyards are available for just $1 each.
Students are reminded to pick up after themselves in the cafeteria after lunch. There has been a tremendous amount of garbage left behind. Your mess is your responsibility.
