For parents of 11th grade students

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Dear Students and Parents:
Many colleges require an ACT test score as one of the criteria for admission. We have arranged a five-hour seminar for your
son or daughter that will allow them to become more familiar with the ACT and give them a chance to improve their score.
Your son or daughter could benefit from even a small score increase in the highly competitive college entrance selection
process. Colleges also look at ACT scores when awarding scholarships and when inviting students to enroll in special
honors courses and programs.
While repetitive practice testing is a good method of preparation, there is no substitute for a live, substantive seminar
presented by an expert. Experience shows that students who take our company's ACT seminar achieve an average score
increase of 1 to 5 points. Of course, the individual score increase depends on the amount of time and effort that students
spend working with the materials they will receive at this seminar.
The fee for the five-hour seminar is $79, a special rate for the school. By comparison, similar seminars may cost over $500
when taken privately. Included in the seminar price are 24 practice tests and a comprehensive study guide. The optional
essay portion of the test will also be covered in this seminar.
To take advantage of this opportunity you may enroll on-line at www.zaps.com and pay by credit card, or you may register
your student to take a check to the seminar. Alternatively, you may call toll-free 877-927-8378 to enroll.
Students should bring two pencils and a calculator to the seminar. For Saturday seminars there will typically be a 45 minute
lunch break and students will be responsible for their own lunches.
This is a seminar for students of all ability levels. Enrollment is limited so please register as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jim Minnihan
