MISC.

There are still plenty of spots available on the February 18th field-trip to Circa 21 to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The cost is only $40.00 per student. You'll spend the morning in cool theatre workshops like "Stage Combat," or "Quad-City Idol." Then you'll enjoy a terrific lunch at the Circa 21 theater. After lunch you'll be entertained by the musical Joseph, one of Andrew Lloyd Weber's most beloved musicals.  Are you interested? Then come see Mrs. Griesenbeck in room B214 as soon as possible. There are only a few days left to take advantage of this terrific field trip. Don't delay - See Mrs. G today!

Sadie Hawkins dance tickets are now on sale at the bookstore for $10 each. The price will increase to $15 two days before the dance, so make sure you buy tour tickets early. The dance is Saturday, February 27^th from 7-10:00 p.m. Formal attire is required. 

Please remember to either purchase your sticker or make a donation to “Hats for Haiti” which will be tomorrow. You may buy your sticker at lunch today or before school tomorrow. Together we can help the people and children of Haiti.

Are you interested in agriculture, life sciences or horticulture? If so, you may be interested in attending a College Fair in Moline on Feb. 11^th. See Mrs. Dexter in the counseling office for details.

Show your school spirit with a Wharton “White Out” t-shirt. T-shirts are available before and after school in the Athletic office for only $5.00. Support the boys’ basketball team and wear white on Feb. 5^th to the home game against Quincy.

Attn Spanish Club Members: Join us this Thursday for dinner out at Habanero’s in South Park Mall. Get your permission slip from your Spanish teacher and turn it in to Senora Lynch by Wednesday if you want to come.

It’s time for the annual Kaleidoscript writing contest! Entry forms are available in B209 and any English classroom. Submissions should be turned in to B209. Get your poems, short stories, and essays in before February 5^th!

On Saturday the Varsity Academic Team competed at the annual Winnebago tournament.  The team won 7 of its 8 matches, losing only to eventual champion Rockford Auburn, to capture the consolation championship.  Congratulations to the team! 

To all Authentic Voices members: The deadline to sign up for the conference has been extended to Jan. 21^st. Please see Mrs. Olson to register.

 Latinos Unidos: There is a brief meeting today after school until 3:30. Adios!

 The MHS Book Club will be meeting today during your lunch. Hope to see you there!

 KEE-YUP!!!  Attention Women in the Authentic Voices group--Energize and empower yourselves by joining Master Dwayne Spellious in the gymnastics room, west gym area, this Thursday. This “self-defense for women” session will be offered both periods 2 and 3!  Wear comfortable clothes and learn how to bust a martial arts move!

The Consumer Ed proficiency test will be offered Feb. 2^nd. If you’d like to sign up to try to opt out of the class, stop in the main office.

Tickets on sale for the Winter Play, William Shakespeare's The COMEDY OF ERRORS!  The show is next week on Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Tickets are available in the bookstore for $8 for adults and $6 for students! Come and enjoy seeing Moline student's performing this Shakespearean comedy!!

All interested in helping paint for the set of comedy of errors should come to the auditorium on Saturday at 9:15AM. We'll paint until we finish! Thanks!
