The MHS Book Club will be meeting today to discuss An Abundance of Katherines. Come to the Media Center during your lunch period.

Upward Bound is meeting at 3:15 today in a NEW ROOM. Upward Bound students should report to J222 after school today.

Tonight’s Drama Club meeting is canceled due to the rehearsal of Beauty & the Beast.

All Academic Team members are reminded of the KMO/Pizza Party tonight at 5:45 in B-131. Come hungry and ready to play. We will also have sign-up for the Middle School tournament to be held at Wilson this Saturday.

Attn Spanish Club: Join us this Thursday, April 23^rd for our dinner at Habaneros in South Park mall. Our dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be over no later than 6:15 p.m. Get permission slips from your Spanish teacher. Hope to see you soon!

Attn all new and current members of National Honor Society: If you want to go on the Great America trip on May 25^th, you must turn your money and permission slip into the counseling center by this Thursday, April 23^rd by 3:15 p.m.

Attention all students involved in Beauty and the Beast:
The show t-shirts have arrived. If you ordered a shirt, they can be picked up at rehearsal from MRS. MAY. Bring $10.00 or a check payable to MHS. If you did not order a t-shirt there are a few extras for you. All crew members who did not order a shirt should check with MRS. MAY at rehearsal tonight....if needed, we will order more ASAP.  

Also a reminder to all students....tickets are on sale in the MHS bookstore for April 30, May 1, and May 2. Get the best seats by purchasing yours EARLY. Students are $6.00/ Adults are $8.00. Don't miss this Disney classic!

Juniors: Please check the lists posted by the drinking fountains as to which rooms you are to report to for testing on Wednesday and Thursday. The rooms are assigned by advisory teacher.

Because the school day and class times will be different on Thursday due to testing, seniors who are normally released periods 6 & 7 for work must have a parent phone call in order to be released at 1:10 on Thursday.

On Wednesday and Thursday, when juniors will be testing, MHS students will not be permitted to visit other schools.

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, Metrolink busses will only pick up on the Avenue upon school dismissal. If you normally catch a bus back by the tennis courts, please plan to walk up to the Avenue to do so instead on these days.

Congrats to the members of the Quad Cities Elite Robotics Team. The team spent six weeks building a robot to compete in the 2009 challenge in Minneapolis. They competed against 51 teams from 7 states to finish 3^rd!!! They also won the Chief Delfi Driving Toward Technology Award for design. Congratulations on this very prestigious award!

Young Life will meet tonight for our Great Amazing Race. We will start at 8:08 p.m. at Riverside Life Center. Everyone is always welcome!

Tomorrow is the Drama Club meeting. Join us every Tuesday after school in room B214. See you there!

Opening night is April 30 @ 7:30 p.m. and other performances are Friday and Saturday (May 1 & 2) also at 7:30 p.m. There will be NO high school matinee for this production so plan on attending one of the three evening performances!  Come as see Alexa Harris as Belle, Brendan Meier as the Beast, Hillary Pieper as Mrs. Potts, Caleb Randol as Lumiere, and Calvin Vo as Cosgworth!  Broadway comes to MHS every year at this time!  Come and "Be Our Guest"!!  Get your tickets early at the bookstore for the best choice of seats. All Seats are reserved. Adults/$8.00  Students/$6.00

Today is the last day to purchase tickets for the Junior Prom. You may buy them during lunch or after school. They will not be sold at the door.

There will be a Key Club meeting today in J307 after school.

The music department is offering a Green Prom Dress event today during Lunch in the Auditorium lobby. Please stop by and check out approximately 50 long and short gently worn prom dresses.  All dresses are available for sale at $10 each. Check it out today during Lunch in the Auditorium Lobby.

Congratulations Moline Students! We competed against other area schools to raise money for United Way and won! If you bought suckers, PE stickers, and/or 7th period sounds tickets you contributed. Key Club says Thank You!!

There will be a Key Club meeting this Thursday in the Cafeteria after school.

Authentic Voices will meet today during 5^th or 6^th period in E204. Police Detective Garmon will be here to share about internet safety.

Want a summer job? What better way to get a tan than corn detasseling! See Mrs. Dexter in the counseling center for details.

Abercrombie & Fitch is also hiring. Mrs. Dexter has information on this opportunity as well.

Junior Prom tickets are on sale at the bookstore. The dance is this Saturday, April 18^th from 8-11:00 p.m. at the Moline Club. Make sure to fill out a guest permission slip if you plan to bring a date from another school. Don’t forget your ID.
