MHS Students; St. Ambrose will be having an EXPLORE Engineering and Aerospace Engineering event on Wednesday, April 1st from 6-8. There will be pizza, professionals in the field, and presentations.  Reserve your space by Friday, 3/27.  See Mrs. Ryser in the Counseling Center if interested.

Attention all swimmers and PE students:  The pool locker rooms will be cleaned out over Spring break.  All lockers must be emptied by Friday, March 27th at 3:00 P.M.  All items left in lockers will be removed and thrown out.  See Coach Hrycyk for any questions.

Attention sophomores and juniors: Today is the last day to submit applications for next year’s Link Crew!  All applications must be received by 3:30 p.m.  Applications can be submitted in the Counseling Center, B107, B217 or E314.

Attention sophomores and juniors:  Applications for next year’s Link Crew are now available in the Counseling Center, B107, B217, and E314.  Be sure to pick up the correct application – bright blue colored application for returning Link Leaders and bright pink application for new applicants.  Current Link Leaders must re-apply if interested in participating next school year.  All applications must be submitted by 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25th.

Attention all females grades 9 through 12:  There will be an overnight STEM Camp for Women April 17--18 sponsored by Black Hawk College.  It is a fun-filled overnight science adventure where you will study the stars; learn more about technology, and even weld... and so much more!  You must register by April 10th.  Get your registration forms in the Counseling Center today.

Seniors: Gabriella Hurtado from Black Hawk College will be here today to help you complete all of your steps to enrollment before you need to register for fall classes in April.  If you would like to meet with her, please come to the Counseling Center.

Grease tickets are now on sale at the bookstore.  It will run tonight and Saturday at 7:30 P.M.  Adult tickets are $8.00 and student tickets are $6.00. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Come join us for a night of great music and fun!

MHS Interact Club will be holding a Silent Auction tonight (Friday) at 7:00 P.M. in the MHS Cafeteria.  Stop in during the intermission of Grease tonight.

Congratulations to the students who competed in the Envirothon yesterday! Taylor Blackburn, Rachael Bounds, Christian Jones and Will Fisher tested their knowledge of aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and urban planning, and they came in third place overall and first for Rock Island County. Well done!

The KWQC Broadcast Scholarship is now available to graduating seniors.  Applicants must be majoring in broadcast journalism.  The application may be downloaded from the counseling website and has a due date of May 8.

Our Special Olympics basketball did wonderful at the state tournament, playing the best they played all year!  They got 4th place and we are all so proud of them!

COUNSELING CENTER

The Quad Cities Insurance Association Scholarship is now available to graduating seniors.  This scholarship may be downloaded from the counseling website and has a due date of March 31.

Seniors who plan to attend Black Hawk College in the fall:  If you have not yet completed your application or COMPASS test to be ready to register in April, see Mrs. Thompson in the Counseling Center right away to sign up to meet with Gabriella Hurtado at MHS on March 20th to complete these steps.

There will be a huge prom/homecoming dress event at First Congregational Church in Moline on March 21st.  Short dresses are $5.00 and long dresses are $10.00.  They are name brand dresses that are brand new or used once.  See Mrs. Ryser in the Counseling Center for more details.

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s musical “Grease”.  Tickets can be purchased at the Bookstore or at the door on the night of the performance.  The ticket prices are $6.00 for students and $8.00 for adults.  Show dates are March 19, 20, and 21st at 7:30 P.M.  Don’t miss this fun show!
