Random Acts of Kindness Club t-shirt orders are being taken in B217, J323, and near the "M." Look for the sign-up sheets! Payment is due by Friday, September 18th to Ms. Ciucci or Ms. Hays.

We will have a mandatory Lineotype meeting after school next Tuesday in B206 to plan the paper's first issue.  All editors must be present to plan, and any reporter who would like to be assigned a story that day may attend, too.  See Mrs. Norcross if you have any questions."

There will be an Interact Club meeting today in E301 at 2:10 P.M.  We will be discussing officers, student ambassadors, Hunger Drive, chair persons, and Homecoming.

Attention all students interested in Art Club, there will be an informational meeting tomorrow at 2:15 in room E114.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Cross.

Sports Unlimited will have a meeting right after school today in the Cafeteria.

The Drama Club meets after school today in room E204.  We will be discussing our plans for the Homecoming Parade.  Everyone is welcome!

There will be a Kaleidoscript meeting today in B215 @ 3:15. All members, new and old, please attend! We will be electing officers.

There is an informational meeting after school today in E215 for all students interested in joining the Debate Team.  Please see Miss Guerdet if you cannot attend.

ALL HOSA members: We will have a meeting today at 3:05 in J138. Everyone is welcome to learn about the great opportunities in the medical and health after high school. If you have any questions, see Mr. Mahieu.

Remember to all Natural Helpers:  We will be meeting for lunch in room B131 every Monday.

There will be an informational meeting of the MHS Robotics club in room D125 today after school.

Anyone interested in being part of Interact Club (a school, local, global community, and leadership organization) should attend a meeting today at 3:10 in E301.  We will also elect officers.

Anyone interested in pursuing a career in medicine, stop by room J138 today at 3:05 to join HOSA.  The meeting will take around 20 minutes.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Mahieu.

All Kaleidoscript staff is invited to vote for officers TODAY!  Please stop by B215 any time--including after school-- and see Mrs. MacLennan to vote. Decisions will be made by 4:00 pm today.

Sports Unlimited is a club organized by students, for students.  Our first meeting is today in room E204 right after school. Everyone is welcome.

The first Drama Club meeting of the year will be today right after school from 3:10-3:30 in room E204. Drama Club is open to all students.  We meet every Tuesday.

Attention Line O Type Editors: We will have our first meeting after school today in Mrs. Norcross's room B206 to discuss the schedule and Trello accounts.  This is an important planning meeting, so please make arrangements to be there.  If you absolutely can't make the meeting, please stop in to discuss the details of the meeting with Mrs. Norcross.

Calling all creative people! Kaleidoscript, MHS' creative arts magazine, will hold its first meeting today in Room B215 at 3:15! Any student interested in writing, visual arts, and musical composition is invited to attend. We also invite those interested in the layout, design, and publishing side of the magazine to join us. The Kaleidoscript will have weekly meetings as well as year-long activities! Please ask Mrs. MacLennan or Ms. Hays for more information on the club and publication.

There will be a brief Varsity Academic Team meeting today in E102 at 3:05 to discuss club officers and upcoming events.  This short organizational meeting is for all varsity Academic Team members only.

National Honor Society Members:  Ballots to run for NHS officer or committee chairperson are in the Counseling Center.  The deadline to submit ballots has been extended to Monday, August 24th at 3:00 p.m.  The mandatory NHS meeting to elect officers and pay dues is Tuesday, August 25th at 7:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria.

The Library Media Center, in conjunction with school and public libraries in East Moline, Moline, and Rock Island will be hosting an Author Expo September 15th-19th.  Here at MHS, we will feature Simone Elkeles live and in person on Thursday the 17th during first lunch.  We will have virtual visits with Amy Kathleen Ryan on Tuesday at the beginning of our first book club, Geoff Herbach on Wednesday, and RJ Anderson on Friday.  Visit the display in the Library Media Center to learn more about the authors, and see the entire schedule of events!  Our first book club selection will be anything by one of these authors, and are available now in the Library Media Center.
