Quality Defined
| Continuous Improvement is a student-centered approach to education that systematically applies the principles of total quality to the classroom and school management. An approach, not a curriculum, CI is applied differently at every school, but the goal is always the same: to create an environment that fosters enthusiasm for learning, a sense of responsibility and healthy self-esteem, an aptitude for problem solving, and a habit of excellence in all students. PQ Systems, Inc. 1999 Continuous Improvement provides ways not only to gather data and measure improvement, but also appeal to alternative learning styles and the need for a variety of approaches to learning. Our purpose is to assure that young people learn, and are prepared for the complex world they will face. CI tools and strategies easily meld with RTI goals, and Cooperative Learning structures to encourage students to claim ownership on their own goals to accomplish personal educational mission statements. |
