5th Annual Big Band Bash

Please join our school district's jazz bands as they present "The 5th Annual Moline Big Band Bash" on Thursday, February 5, 2009 starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Moline High School Auditorium. This performance will feature the jazz bands from Woodrow Wilson Middle School, John Deere Middle School and Moline High School. The special guest artists for this concert will be Josh Duffee and His Orchestra.

Josh Duffee is the leader and drummer of his group and is a product of the Moline School District (Garfield, John Deere and Moline High School). Josh has been performing with his orchestra for several years and has been a crowd favorite each year at the Bix Jazz Festival. This ensemble has faithfully re-created the authentic sounds of jazz music from the 1920's, 30's and 40's. With strong influences like Bix Beiderbecke, Jean Goldkette, the New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra from Australia, and many other big names in jazz, let Josh Duffee & His Orchestra take you back on a musical journey through the early days of jazz with its sound, appearance, and incredibly hot music!
